History and Structure

We were established in Wollongong in March 1969 and the Nowra branch was opened in 1981. The service is non-denominational and Volunteer Telephone Crisis Supporters come from a wide range of backgrounds.

You can call 13 11 14 and speak to a trained and caring Telephone Crisis Supporter about any issue, no matter how big or small:

  • relationships
  • loneliness
  • life decisions
  • grief
  • addiction
  • abuse
  • stress
  • depression
  • suicide

Telephone Crisis Supporters help you talk about your concerns and assist you to find ways to solve them.
