The Lifeline Shops are the financial cornerstone of Lifeline South Coast. They provide the largest portion of funding and allow the continuation of Lifeline’s vital 24-hour telephone crisis support service in the Illawarra and South Coast.
People wishing to work in our retail positions need to be well presented, pleasant and able to present a positive image of Lifeline to our customers. All retail staff will receive training in Lifeline South Coast operations.
Volunteering at our Wollongong or Corrimal Shop
There is a Lifeline South Coast shop on 19 Auburn Street Wollongong and a new shop on 191-193 Princes Highway in Corrimal (open since July 2017). At both shops donated items are collected, sorted, priced, packed and stored. We need many different kinds of workers in our shops including sorters, retail assistants, book sorters, (truck) drivers and general assistants.
Positions may require lifting and/or carrying so applicants would need to be physically fit. All volunteers will receive training in Lifeline South Coast operations. If you are interested in volunteering for Lifeline South Coast in our shops, please download the information booklet and application form here. You can return a filled in application form to Lifeline South Coast PO Box 404 Wollongong 2500 or email it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
