Lifeline South Coast is proud to be able to deliver this fully interactive face to face session via Virtual Classroom delivery!
To participate in this session, you will need to have capabilities on your own device for sound, camera, be willing to interact during the session with the trainers, and be available for the full session. You will receive a Certificate of Completion if you meet these criteria.
The virtual classroom session is 2.5 hours, where participants will use Zoom to connect with the facilitator. It is expected with this option that participants will each have access to a computer that has a camera and sound so they can be interactive with the facilitators throughout the session.
It is important to note that each participant must be set up with a computer individually. We are not able to facilitate the program with multiple workers siting around one computer as we cannot maintain our duty of care to the participants if this is the case.
Please register for this session and we will email to you a Zoom invitation with instructions.
Please provide your postal address so that we can send out your workbook and resources ahead of the session.
Course information: QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide.
Just as people trained in CPR help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognise the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.
QPR training will provide you with:
• knowledge and skills to identify warning signs that someone may be suicidal
• confidence to talk to them about suicidal thoughts
• connect them with professional care.
This is a free session to the bushfire affected community of the South Coast, and funded by CommBank. Lifeline South Coast acknowledges this financial support from CommBank
